    In 1950s NYC, young hustler Marty Mauser (Chalamet) believes he has a purpose to become a ping pong superstar. From his humble and hard-fought beginnings in underground wagers, Marty slowly rises the ranks of the New York scene and gets bankrolled to compete in international competitions.
